PURPOSE:To obtain a paper feeding mechanism making the setting of papers easier and requiring no tension adjustment by a method in which a tractor and a prush roller are set for a continuous paper and are controlled by a specific mode. CONSTITUTION:When a continuous paper 3 is fed forward (i), a tractor 5 is turned toward the direction of arrow A, a platen 2 is turned with a smaller peripheral speed than the feeding speed of the tractor 5, and the paper 3 is run without causing slackening while giving a friction force between an idler 7 and a drive roller 6 with one-way coupler in a turning prohibition state. In retracting the continuous paper 3(ii), the tractor 5 is turned toward the direction of B, the roller 6 is turned with a greater peripheral speed than the feeding speed of the tractor 5, and the paper 3 is run without slackening while slightly slipping it between the roller 6 and the idler 7(the running speed is regulated by the feeding speed of the tractor 5). |
