PURPOSE:To enable to freely draw a figure in continuous lines, unnecessitate to supply any ink ribbon, any doner or the like and thereby simplify the construction of the device, by combinedly using a dot printing function and a plotting function. CONSTITUTION:A printing head part 1 incorporating vertical-row pin groups in which each printing pin 12 is operated independently, a head-feeding mechanism 4 for reciprocating the head part 1 in a horizontal direction and a paper-feeding mechanism 7 for moving a recording paper 2 in a longitudinal direction are provided. A pressure-sensitive recording paper such that a trace appears when being applied with a pressure on the surface thereof is used as the recording paper 2. A printing function for printing through combining dots 20 obtained by pressing the pins 12 against the paper 2 and a plotting function for recording continuous lines by moving either one of the head part 1 and the paper 2 while pressing the pin 12 against the paper 2 are provided, and characters, figures or the like are recorded by arbitrarily selecting the printing function and the plotting function. |
