<p>The guide fitting accommodates the chain or belt of a roller shutter and provides a seal over the opening (10) traversed by the chain. The seal may comprise two coplanar brushes (8) whose bristle ends meet. Alternatively, the seal may have supple blades or membranes made of felt, a synthetic material or rubber, and may be integrated with the fitting or be demountable. The fitting may comprise a 'U' section (3) on a base plate (1) with flange holes (4) for the roller (6) axles (5) together with an opening (10) traversed by the chains. Elongated flange openings (7) may locate the brushes which are retained by demountable pins (11). The grooves may be located beneath the base plate.</p> |
