PURPOSE:To prevent any accident by giving warning in case of insufficient braking force while calculating said force required to keep a stop state even after the temperature of a parking brake drops, considering the reduction of the braking force caused by the temperature drop of the parking brake at parking on a slope. CONSTITUTION:Parking on a slope is detected from a slope sensor 2 signal and an engine stop signal such as an ignition switch off signal and an arithmetic circuit 4 operates braking force F required to be kept even if the temperature signal (t) of the brake temperature sensor 1 and the slope signal theta of the slope sensor 2 on the basis of various data in an internal memory such as vehicle weight, and expansion and contraction characteristics caused by the temperature of brake components. And, the required braking force F and the braking force signal (f) of the braking force sensor 3 are compared with each other by a comparing circuit in the arithmetic circuit 4, and when the braking force is at the required level, a lamp 5 is lighted, and when not at the required level, an alarm device is operated to give warning. |
