PURPOSE:To enable to replace a thermo-switch without draining cooling water by mounting the thermo-switch sealed by a partition wall made of a material with high heat conductivity in the cooling water passage of an engine. CONSTITUTION:The thermo-switch 7, which turns ON and OFF in response to the temperature of the cooling water 8 in a lower tank 4, is mounted through a collar 20 to the through hole 5 of the lower tank 4 forming the cooling water passage of a radiator. In this case, the collar 20 with a U-shape in cross section is inserted to the tank 4 so as to bring the partition wall, by which the thermo- switch 7 is selaed, into direct contact with the cooling water 8. Furthermore, the side 23 of the collar 20 is fixed to the through hole 5 and female thread, to which the thermo-switch 7 is screwed, is formed on the interior 21 of the collar 20. Due to the structure as described above, the thermo-switch 7 can be replaced without draining the cooling water 8 and at the same time the cooling water 8 is prevented from leaking through the mounting part of the thermo- switch 7. |
