The water which is to cleaned into the contact bed which contains fillers which are kept in place by a removable grill before leaving for further treatment. Air is blown into the bed from underneath via an aeration arrangement. If the bed is to be reused, the grill is lifted up for a short time and the filler is rotated to clean it. |
