The engraving machine control comprises a frame with a table (1) supporting a parallelogram arm system (3). At a first point (10), this system is rotatably fixed relatively to the table, and at another point it is attached to an engraving tool (9) in a position where engraving of an object on the board can take place. At a third point (20), the system is connected to a control (13) for transmission of the shape to be engraved to the tool. The control (13) comprises a board with a first slide (17) working forwards and backwards in a primary direction, and a second slide (18) which in the primary direction is guided by the first slide, and which itself works forwards and backwards at right-angles to the primary direction. A guide (20) transmits the combined movements from the two slides to the parallelogram arm system (3), the slides being activated by motors (19, 22) which in turn are computer-controlled. The computer forms the the shape to be engraved by impulses to the motors, and also controls a raising and lowering motor (23) for the engraving tool (9). (Provisonal basic advised Week 84/10) |
