<p>PURPOSE:A bird repellent comprising an active ingredient obtained by blending an organic phosphoric ester with another compound, exhibiting more improved snergistic repellent action on birds with a small amount of the repellent than each of the agents in an individual use, preventing the eating damage of birds on sowed seeds. CONSTITUTION:An organic phosphoric ester shown by the formula I (X is O or S; Hal is halogen; n is 0-2) which is known to have a repellent effect on birds is blended with bis (dimethylthiocarbamoyl) disulfide shown by the formula IIwhich is known as a repellent for rodents such as rabbits, field mice, etc. in a weight ratio of 1:(0.2-5), to give an active ingredient. The mixture can be directly used, or blended with a carrier or auxiliary, processed into a preparation such as wettable powder, dust, etc., and used. It has no influence of the growth of seeds, etc. after application, has low toxicity to men and beasts, and can prevent the damage of birds safely and effectively.</p> |
