Electric safety lock more especially for motor vehicle doors, in which each vehicle door and the engine bonnet, the petrol tank cap and the boot lid of the vehicle receive an assembly composed of a case 1, in which an electric micromotor 2 is mounted, characterised in that the shaft 3 of the abovementioned motor drives a pinion 4 cooperating with a toothing 5 of a cup 6 fastened to the end of a shaft 7 resting in bearings 9, 10 and carrying at its centre an endless screw 8 permanently meshing with a toothed cam 15, the step 15a of which cooperates with a push stud or finger 20 passing through the abovementioned case 1 and the inner wall of a housing 12, so as to control the rotation of a ratchet 13, the end tooth 13b of which takes its place in the toothing 14a of a rotary bolt mounted in the housing 12 and having a cutout 24, in which is seated the bar forming a keeper 25 of the lock, the supply of the motor being under the control of a printed circuit making it possible to obtain, from breakers 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, the opening or closing of the door and its temporary securing for the protection of the passenger of the vehicle. <IMAGE>
