PURPOSE:To obtain a stable picture free of picture disorder by moving a continuous base body in the opposite direction to a normal forward movement direction before a press-contacting drive state wherein roll for fixation rotates in press contact so that no unfixed picture is present between the rolls for fixation. CONSTITUTION:When a press-contacting roll 32 is separated from a press-contacting roll 30 to stop fixation and a continuous form 11 is released, the continuous form 11 is moved forth by length (a-b) by a form discharge roll 21 to remove a sag and then its onward movement is stopped by a suction box 13. When fixation is carried out again thereafter, tensile force T2 is set relatively less than tensile force T1 before the separated press-contacting rolls 30 and 32 enter into a press-contacting state, and a conveyor belt 35 is driven reversely as shown by an arrow to move the continuous form 11 forth or back until an already fixed part is positioned between the rolls 30 and 32 before both rolls 30 and 32 are brought into press contact. The tensile force T1 is set equal to the tensile force T2 and the driving of the belt 35 is stopped. |
