The present invention relates to a coupling sleeve for protecting an electrical cable splice. The sleeve of the invention is essentially composed of a tube at the ends of which are placed flanges each of which is solidly connected to one cable end, of means for inserting a seal in a circular fashion around each flange in the vicinity of the tube, the said seal being applied circularly in a groove bounded on the one hand by each flange and on the other hand by the tube.
