<p>A receptacle (10) for installation in exterior walls (8) of a building for removable installation of a freeze resistant hose bib (32) is shown. The receptacle (10) comprises a tubular element (20) having at one end means (22) (23) to receive and hold a threaded water supply pipe nipple (30) in a clamping relationship with the threaded nipple end (30) thereof inserted axially into the interior of the tube (20), and at the other end thereof a mounting block means (12) adapted to be secured to exterior wall surface (8) of a building. The tubular element (20) extends into the wall (8) and is adapted to receive through said block (12) after installation in the wall (8) a freeze resistant hose bib (32). The receptacle (10) is fastened to the exterior wall surface (8) and clamps the water supply pipe (28) permitting subsequent installation and removal of a freeze resistant hose bib (32) for servicing. </p> |
