PURPOSE:To produce simply and easily a thin beltlike welding material consisting of outside shell layers and an inside core layer bisected from a prescribed compsn. by flowing down the molten metal of a hardly workable compsn. between a pair of thin belts having an easily workable compsn. and cooling the same between a pair of cooling rolls. CONSTITUTION:A pair of thin belts 4, 4 are inserted between a pair of cooling and rotating rolls 1, 2 provided internally with cooling pipes 1A, 2A for injecting cooling water 3, and the molten metal 6 accumulated in a crucible 5 is flowed down like a thin belt between the same with a nozzle 7. The flow 6A of the molten metal belt is cooled and solidified between the belts 4 and 4, whereby a composite welding material 8 consisting of outside whell layers 8A and an inside core layer 8B is obtd. Said layers 8A are constituted of an easily workable component which is easily workable to a thin belt, and the layer 8B is constituted of a hardly workable component having hardness or brittleness, and the compsn thereof is bisected so that the material 8 has the prescribed compsn. It is necessary to prevent the melting of the belts 4 by the heat of the flow 6A by controlling the amt. and temp. of the flow 6A and the thickness, etc. of the belts 4. |
