A device for discharging strips cut from sheets, especially sheets made of wood materials, such as chipboard sheets, hardboard sheets, plywood sheets etc., in which the strips are discharged one next to the other from a cutting device by means of a longitudinal conveyor, is to permit the production of packets of strips of different widths in automatic operation, without any residual strips being left over. According to the invention, a transverse conveyor (6) is connected to the longitudinal conveyor (5), which transverse conveyor is used to take the strips in packets from the longitudinal conveyor (5) for this purpose; at least two adhesive tape installations (13) are arranged above the transverse conveyor (6), it being possible to connect the ends of the adhesive tapes with the first strips in each case and to press the adhesive tapes placed in this way onto the strips using pressure rollers during transverse motion brought about by the transverse conveyor. <IMAGE>
