PURPOSE:To provide a titled wire which is good in productivity and provides deposited metal of uniform hardness by containing metallic powder and/or metallic carbide powder contg. prescribed contents or higher C in a flux specified of contents of Cr and Mo with respect to the total weight of the wire and specified of the ratio of packing. CONSTITUTION:Cr and Mo are contained in a metallic case and/or flux so as to contain 1-40% Cr and 0.2-10wt% Mo with respect to the entire weight of the wire. The rate of packing of the flux with respect to the entire weight of the wire is specified at 10-69wt%. Metallic powder and/or metallic carbide powder (e.g.; L.C.Fe-Si powder) of >=1wt% content of C as a supply source of C is contained at 0.3-20wt% in terms of C in said flux. Further, the grain sizes of the above-described powder to be added are so controlled that >=70wt% of said powder is constituted of powder of 30-250mu grain sizes and that >=70wt% in the total flux has 30-250mu grain sizes, respectively, whereby the intended composite wire for hard facing welding is obtained. |
