PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of corrosion cracking in the build-up weld metal of a 13% Cr stainless steel when used in water contg. Cl<-> ions by incorporating a specific slight amt. of B in the build-up weld metal of 13% Cr stainless steel. CONSTITUTION:The build-up weld part of a 13% Cr stainless steel is formed of the metal having the following compsn.: The build-up weld metal zone of the compsn. contg. 10-14% Cr, 0.02-0.08% C, <0.8% Si, <2% Mn and 0.001- 0.010% B and further contg. <6% Ni and <4% Mo alone or in combination and consisting of the balance Fe is formed. No corrosion cracking is generated even when said part is used in water environment contg. Cl<-> ions. |
