PURPOSE:To realize a new optical fiber by employing the constitution of only a metallic tube and a core body part constituting the most transparent part of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The metallic pipe may use a seamless, seamed, or lapstuck pipe. The thickness 11 of the metallic pipe 1 is <=0.3mm.. The surface 12 of the internal hole of this metallic pipe 1 is polished chemically or mechanically to uniform surface roughness and flushed cleanly without any sticking foreign matter. Core material for constituting the most transparent body part of the optical fiber is fused thermally into a liquid shape and injected into the internal hole 13 of the metallic pipe, and the material is heated while solving out the inside of the pipe 1 successively to advance. Consequently, the new optical fiber is realized. |
