PURPOSE:To form a good welded joint part irrespectively of the presence of spatters on welding base materials by providing a driving part provided with magnetic wheels for driving via a mechanisms for absorbing displacements in a vertical direction separately from driven wheels to a traveling carriage for automatic welding. CONSTITUTION:>=2 Pieces of driven wheels 3 which contact with the traveling plane R of welding base materials are provided in the bottom part of a traveling carriage 1 for welding, and a driving part provided with magnetic wheels 5, 6 for driving is equipped floatably independently from a carriage body 2 via mechanisms 5 for absorbing displacements in a vertical direction. The traction force of the carriage 1 is increased by the attraction force generated by the wheels 5, 6 even if the carriage itself is light. Even if the wheel 5 rides on the spatter S that exists on the traveling plane on the welding base materials, the displacement thereof in the longitudinal direction is absorbed by the mechanisms 5 and the carriage 1 is run with sufficient traction force without float, whereby the aiming position of the torch of the welding device on the carriage is exactly and stably maintained and the good welded joint is obtained. |
