PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photosensitive material improved in aging stability after coating, by subjecting a layer contg. an emulsion contg. photosensitive silver halide grains and a cyan coupler to a specified treatment using a sensitizing dye, and forming this layer on a support. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide photosensitive layer is obtained by forming on a support a layer contg. an emulsion contg. photosensitive silver halide grains and a cyan coupler having the shown formula in which R1, R2 are preferably each alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, or amino, and X is a group or atom releasable upon coupling reaction with a color developing agent. At that time, said photosensitive silver halide in the emulsion contg. the cyan coupler is sensitized with a sensitizing dye, and after chemical aging, further, said sensitizing dye is added to said emulsion by 0.05-10 times the amt. used for said silver halide. |
