PURPOSE:To knock out a casting mold without breaking a piston rod and keeping a casting free from gouges, by rotating and moving vertically rotary forks, oscillating the same with an oscillation station and releasing the casting with an inveter. CONSTITUTION:When a casting mold 20 in which molten metal is already charged and which is conveyed to a knockout device is charged onto the oscillating machine 11 in the position of the 1st oscillation station 3, the casting and molding sand are roughly separated. A rotary fork 32 moves upward and when the casting on the top surface of a grate 9 is transferred onto the top surface of a work 31, the work 32 is rotated 90 deg. in an arrow direction so as to rotate up to the position of the 2nd oscillation station 4. The work 32 descends to place the casting on the top surface of the grate 9 of the machine 11. As the 2nd oscillating machine 11 operates, the molding sand and the casting are surely separated. The casting is then rotated up to the position of an inversion station 5, where an inversion fork 17 is inverted to release the casting onto an oscillating conveyor 21, by which the casting is ejected to the outside. |
