A pressure-medium actuated gear change device, in particular for motor vehicles, has a cylinder device (35) under pressure-medium control which acts to release the clutch associated with the gearbox upon actuation of a clutch pedal. For this purpose, at least one piston rod (29) acts on a clutch lever of the clutch. Also provided is a piston-controlled valve-switching device (55,57,58) connected to the cylinder device (35) and intended for controlling a gear change valve (17) for the clutch-dependent monitoring of the supply of pressure medium to the manually operated gearbox. The valve-switching device is arranged coaxially on the outer piston end face (41), that facing the clutch lever, and transversely to the gear change axis (38) of the gear change valve (17) situated between the cylinder device (35) and the clutch lever. <IMAGE>
