PURPOSE:To obtain a compact torque detecting device having necessary detecting accuracy, by coupling one end of an elastic body to a driving body in an actuating manner, coupling the outer end thereof to a driven body in an actuating manner, and arranging the bodies in such a way that a compression load is applied in both cases where the phase difference in the rotations of the driving body and the driven body is positive and negative with a no load state as a boundary. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 1 on the driving side is driven by the internal combustion engine of an automobile and the like. A shaft 2 on the driven side is coupled to a load. Disk shaped plate parts are provided at the shafts 1 and 2. A subplate 5 is fixed to the plate part of the shaft 1 by a rivet 13. When the shaft 1 is rotated in the direction of an arrow, an elastic body receiving seat 3a is pushed by one end part 1a of the shaft 1 on the driving side at an window as a supporting part 14 and an end part 5a of the subplate 5. An elastic body receiving seat 36 is further pushed by an elastic body 4. Then the other end part of the plate part of the shaft 2 on the driven side is pused. As a result, the driven side shaft 2 is rotated together with the driving side shaft 1 in the same direction. |
