PURPOSE:To remove the foreign substance in cooling sea water effectively without deteriorating the performance of the condenser by a method wherein an opening and closing valve is provided in the discharging system of the foreign substance removing device and the opening degree thereof is adjusted by the pressure or the like of the circulating water system of the condenser to discharge the minimum cooling sea water properly. CONSTITUTION:The discharging system 12 for discharging the foreign substance together with the cooling sea water is connected to the foreign substance removing device 5 and an electric valve 6, opened and closed when a given amount of the foreign substance is arrested by and removed from the discharging system 12, is provided in the discharging system 12. The opening degree and the operation of the electric valve 6 are determined by receiving an electric signal. Detectors 100a, 100b detect the pressures at the fore and aft sides of the condenser or a pressure difference therebetween and the outputs thereof are inputted into first setter 101 to operate the amount of cooling sea water passing through the condenser and determine the amount of discharged water from the discharging system 12. The amount of discharging sea water, to be discharged from the system 12, is determined in the setter 101 by the ratio of the amount of cooling sea water to the proper flow amount of the foreign substance removing device 5. On the other hand, the detector 102, detecting the internal pressure of the device 5, is provided and is led to the second setter 103, in which the opening degree of the electric valve 6 suitable for the amount of discharging sea water, which is determined by the setter 101, is determined, to operate the valve 6 automatically. Consequently, the device 5 discharges by the internal pressure and the head difference at the end of the system 12. |
