PURPOSE:A yellow ink, containing a specific dye, a water-soluble dye consisting of a dye having ethylene oxide, etc. added to OH and/or NH2 groups of the above-mentioned dye, a wetting agent and water as main components, and having improved color reproducibility, dissolving stability and water and light resistance. CONSTITUTION:A yellow ink containing (A) a dye expressed by formula I (X1 and X2 are CH3, C2H5, OH, OCH3 or OC2H5; Y1 and Y2 are formula II or III), e.g. a dye expressed by formula IV, (B) a dye having one or more compounds selected from (i) ethylene oxide, (ii) propylene oxide, (iii) oxazoline, (iv) ethyleneimine and (v) 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethyleneimine added to OH and/or NH2 groups contained in the component (A) or (C) a water-soluble salt of the component (A) or (B), a wetting agent and water as main components. Preferably the molar amounts of the components based on 1mol component (A) are as follows: 15mol or less component (i), 2mol or less component (ii), 10mol or less component (iii), 20mol or less component (iv) and 10mol or less component (v). |
