PURPOSE:To automatically finish with good accuracy to the size in final finish of a work by continuously detecting changes in thickness of the work without contact. CONSTITUTION:Though a detector 20 to continuously detect changes in thickness of a work 15 without contact is worn with fixers 1, 2 which are embedded, it is structured to produce no trobule on its detecting function, pressure and revolving speed which are given to the work 15 at upper and lower fixers 1, 2 are controlled according to the program memorized in an arithmetic and logic unit 28 in advance, and continuous machining is done until the work 5 arrives at the size in final finish. In consequence, a finish size with high accuracy can be obtained because lapping is done according to the thickness of the work 15 itself to be finally needed. |
