PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality picture with compensated nonlinearity, by adding a random number data in the form of a lower bit of the position signal and thus obtaining an input point compensation vector. CONSTITUTION:The random number data supplied from the 1st random number generator 19 is added in the form of a lower bit of the position signal Y converted by the A/D converter 12. In the same way, the random number data supplied from the 2nd random number generator 20 is added in the form of a lower bit of the digitized position signal X. Then these signals are regarded as the input position signals and then supplied to the compensation quantity calculating circuit 21 to calculate the input point compensation vector. This vector is added to the position signals X and Y supplied from the position calculating circuit 4 to perform a compensation. In such way, a sufficient fine A/D conversion is secured for the input position signal. Thus a uniform picture with compensated nonlinearity is obtained. |
