摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a magnet having an excellent magnetic characteristic at a decreased sintering temp., by molding the powder of a specific rare earth.cobalt alloy contg. Ca in the amt. increased to a specific range in a magnetic field and sintering the molding under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The powder of the above-mentioned alloy contg. 0.1-1.5% Co is molded in a magnetic field and the molding is sintered in a 1,060-1,140 deg.C temp. range in a nonoxidative atmosphere in the production of a rare earth. cobalt magnet of RCo5 type (R is 1 or >=2 kinds selected from Y and rare earth elements). In succession to the sintering, the molding is subjected to any of the heat treatments; A: slow cooling from the sintering temp. down to 750-950 deg.C then quick cooling, B: slow cooling from the sintering temp. down to 750-950 deg.C, holding for a specified time at the temp. in this range then quick cooling, and C: slow cooling from the sintering temp. down to an ordinary temp. once, heating again up to 750-950 deg.C, holding for a specified time then quick cooling.
