PURPOSE:To obtain a desensitizer having an excellent desenstitizing effect on no-carbon pressure-sensitive duplicate paper and enabling even printers other than latterpress printers to perform printing by using an alkylene oxide-addition product of a specific resin having hydroxyl groups. CONSTITUTION:A densitizer contians an alkylene oxide-addition product of a resin having hydroxyl groups, obtained by selectively hydrogenating said resin (or its double bond only) obtained from a compound (A) from a 5-membered ring compound having conjugated double bonds or from Diels-Alder reaction of the compound, represented by the formula (where R is a C1-C3 organic residuel group and m+n=6) and a compound (B) having polymerizable double bonds and hydroxyl groups in the same molecule. As the component (A), cyclopentadiene, methyldicyclopentadiene, etc., may be cited, and as the component (B), (meth)allyl alcohol, 2-hydroxyethyl (metha)acrylate, etc., may be cited. |
