The device for fastening an animal comprises chains (34) from which are suspended upper parts (8 and 9) of the two arms (8-6-22-4 and 9-7-22-4) of a collar. These upper parts (8 and 9) are articulated to each other at the top by a hinge pin perpendicular to the main plane of the collar defined by these upper parts (8 and 9).
