PURPOSE:To attain high density display without giving adverse effect on eyes even for a long period looking and to make freely the print, by using an optical shutter of a liquid crystal or PLZT for the exposure to a photoconductive belt using an organic photoreceptor for each unit picture element. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive belt 8 is provided with a charge generating layer such as epsilon copper phthalocyanine on a conductor layer 7 made of Al or ''Mylar'', etc. and formed by coating a charge mobile layer 5 made of PVK or the like. The belt 8 is charged electrostatically with a charging section 17, exposed at an exposing section 15, toner 9 is supplied at a toner supply section 14 for development. In the exposure section 15, a polarized film, a liquid crystal, a full-surface transparent conductive film and a polarized film are formed on a glass substrate formed with transparent electrodes in the unit of picture elements, the section 15 is irradiated with a flat fluorescent lamp light source to constitute an optical shutter driven with a liquid crystal driver. Further, the optical shutter is also formed by using the PLZT. Thus, the high density display is attained without giving adverse effect on eyes against a long period observation and the print is executed freely. |
