PURPOSE:To keep a prescribe performance such as side lobe level and beam efficiency, by turning a scanning mirror only around an axis in parallel with an axis of a primary radiator for changing the direction of beam of an antenna. CONSTITUTION:A beam is irradiated in a direction tilted from an axis of rotation in turning uniformly only the scanning mirror 1 around an axis VV' in parallel with an axis WW' of the primary radiator 3, and the beam, in this case, is turned uniformly around the axis VV'in parallel with the axis WW' of the radiator 3 while changing the tilt angle of the beam in response to a rotating angle. Further, a wave front 5 is turned around the axis VV' in parallel with the axis WW' of the radiator 3 and the shape is deviated from a plane shape according to the rotating angle, then the side lobe level and the beam efficiency are deteriorated as the deviation from the plane becomes much. Thus, devices connected to the antenna are operated within the rotating angle only where the extent of deviation is within a prescribed range and not operated for other range, allowing to keep the performance such as the side lobe level and beam efficiency requirements. |
