PURPOSE:To sufficiently decelerate the opening and closing speed of a globe box by having an instrument panel pivotally support a fin which is turned by opening and closing action of the box and disposed inside a case containing viscous fluid. CONSTITUTION:A glove box 4 is fit in the recess 3 of an instrument panel body 2 and the opening and closing speed of the box 4 is regulated by a control mechanism 7b. The control mechanism 7b has a transmitting means which consists of a fin 8a turnably pivoted to the body 2, a sector gear 10d which converts the opening and closing motion of the box 4 into a turning motion of the fin 8a and which is firmly fit to the side wall of the box 4, and a gear 9 which meshes with the gear 10d and is firmly fit to the shaft 8c of the fin 8a. The fin 8a is placed inside a case 21 which is mounted to the body 2 and contains viscous fluid 20. The fin 8a is capable of being raised and laid on a base plate 8d, whereby having resisting force varied depending up whether the box 4 is opened or closed. |
