PURPOSE:To improve the value in use of the device, by displaying a dot display together when an error takes place together with the content of display to estimate correct information through quess and judgement of a carrier if the content of display of a message signal is in error. CONSTITUTION:A reception detecting circuit 2 of a selective calling receiver demodulates a slective calling signal and the message signal, a signal processing circuit 3 collates the signals with a selective calling signal inherent to a receiver from a number setting circuit 4, a coincidence signal drives a display controlling circuit 7 and the content of message is displayed on a display 9. If an erroneous message is received, an output is generated from an error detecting circuit 10, a dot display circuit 12 is operated and the output of the circuit 12 drives a display driving circuit 8. Further, the erroneous message signal is displayed on the display 9 and the dot display is done together, allowing to estimate correct information through the judgement and guess by a carrier and to improve the value in use of the selective calling receiver. |
