PURPOSE:To make a battery, which is constituted by fitting a positive and a negative electrode member in two thin ?-shaped caplike electrode cases before they are attached opposed to one another and the attached parts are fixed, thin and small without impairment to its mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:The inner surface and a part of the outer surface near the opening 2 of a case 1 to be used as a negative can, is coated with an electrolyte-resisting synthetic resin before baking or the like is performed so as to form an insulating film 7. Next, a conductive member 3 is attached to the opening of the negative can, and fused to both the above insulating film 7 and another adhesive insulating layer 5 by means of an indium-tin alloy 6. Then, a negative electrode member, electrolyte and an electrolyte-holding member are packed into the negative can 1, and a positive mixture, electrolyte and a separator are packed into a positive can 4. After that, the electrode cans 1 and 4 are attached opposed to one another before welding is performed so as to fuse them. |
