PURPOSE:To perform alternate successive flashing and one-side dimmed flashing, by turning on and off switch elements connected to a couple of flash discharge tubes and a commutating capacitor synchronously with trigger pulses of the discharge tubes. CONSTITUTION:When a single light emission mode is selected, pulses are outputted to terminals J1, J2, J4 and J6 successively to perform starting of the discharge of a flash discharge tube 6 by the conduction of thyristors 16 and 38, flash emission by the conduction of a thyristor accompanying with the starting of discharge stop of light-emission by the conduction of a thyristor 26, and the cutoff of the thyristor 26 by the conduction of a transistor 36 successively. When a successive light-emission mode is selected, the light emission of the discharge tube 6 and the charging and the stop of light-emission of the commutating capacitor 22 are carried out by pulse outputs to the terminals J4, J1 and J2 and then the thyristor 26 turns off. Then, similar operation regarding a discharge tube 8 is carried out by outputs to terminals J5, J1 and J2. |
