PURPOSE:To enhance the liquid-leakage resistance of a sealed battery by restricting accuracies of the shapes and the positions of parts to below specified values. CONSTITUTION:The roundness error of the inner surface of the rising section of a metallic case which touches a gasket 13, the roundness error of the outside surface 15 of the folded rising section of a sealing lid, the straightness error in the circumference direction of the end 16 of the folded rising section, and the thickness deviation of a part of a gasket 13 interposed between the metallic case and the sealing lid are restricted to below specified values. For instance, the roundness error of the inner surface of the rising section of the metallic case which touches the gasket 13 is adjusted to below 30mum, the roundness error of the outside surface 15 of the folded rising section of the sealing lid is adjusted to below 10mum, the straightness error in the circumference direction of the end 16 of the folded rising section is adjusted to below 30mum, and the thickness deviation of the part of the gasket 13 interposed between the metallic case and the sealing lid is adjusted to below 40mum. |
