PURPOSE:To transmit effectively inverting information written directly on a platen glass as well as the information described on a conventional original, by storing temporarily the form and picture information at each scanning line and outputting the picture and form information in the reverse order as the stored order. CONSTITUTION:The original is placed on the plane glass PG and the reflecting light of the original with the light irradiation from a light source 10 is made incident to an image sensor 40 as picture information via mirrors 21, 22 and a lens 30. The sensor 40 is driven with a sensor driver 41 and transmits signals to a binary-coding circuit 50 at each scanning line through photoelectric conversion. The binary-coded signal is applied to a switch circuit 60 and it is decided that the signal is supplied to a coder 80 via shift registers 71, 72 or directly to the coder 80 depending on the switching mode of the circuit 60. The circuit 60 is switched in response to a switching signal SS which is outputted by detecting the presence of the placing of the original on the glass PG, for example. Thus, the inverting information written directly on the glass PG is also transmitted effectively. |
