PURPOSE:To prevent damage of the surface of a photoreceptor even when mechanical stress is applied to both a cleaning blade and a photosensitive drum and to bring both into contact automatically with high precision, by providing the cleaning blade nearly in the radial direction of the photosensitive drum in a free sliding state. CONSTITUTION:A holder 4 for holding the blade 3 is attached to a copying machine body 6 with a guide pin 7 through the long-sized hole 8 of the holder. The holder 4 is attached to the main body 6 with a pin 7a and a stopper pin 7b. The long-sized hole 8 has its long diameter nearly in the radial direction of the drum and the stopper pin 7b holds the holder 4 so that the holder is slidable on the main body 6 as shown by an arrow. The blade 3 contacts the drum 1 by the total weight of the blade 3 and holder 4 or by applying constant pressure by a spring 9 shown by a broken line. The rotation oscillation of the drum and an impact due to the projection and recess of the drum surface are absorbed by the movement of the blade 3. |
