An evaporator consists of a pipe and a plate, wherein a portion of the plate 10 is double folded into an upright flange 11. The flange 11 is flexible and formed into a tunnel 13 with a shape corresponding to that of the pipe and the flange has a free edge part 14 which extends parallel to the plate 10 at a distance from it which is equal to the diameter D of the pipe 12. In said edge part 14 there are made a number of depressions 15 in the direction of the plate 10 and the pipe 12 is clamped in the tunnel 13. When making such an evaporator, one achieves good heat conduction ability between pipe and plate by giving the flange 11 a height which is greater than half the circumference of the pipe 12, the flange 11 is formed into a tunnel 13 with a shape corresponding to that of the pipe and with a free edge part 14 parallel to the plate 10, depressions 15 are made in the edge part 14 of the flange 11 in the direction of the plate, and the pipe 12 is clamped in the tunnel 13. <IMAGE> |
