The chair frame (12) has freely pivoting front wheels (14), and fixed rear wheels (16) which have hand grip rings (36) for manipulation by the patient. The front wheels are at a front extension (38) of the chair frame fixed to front wheel connection (24). The rear wheel connector (26) is fitted to a rear extension piece (40) from the chair frame (12). Thus the wheel base is, in the longitudinal direction, longer than a standard type chair due to both extension pieces (38,40). The seat surface has at the rear an adjustable back support (18). Foldable foot rests are fitted at the front. The side rail (42) may be folded down enabling the patient to transfer easily from bed to chair. |
