PURPOSE:To obtain an insert molded product having a clip embedded in the accurate postion thereof, in subjecting the pedestal of the clip to insert molding, by contacting a clip positioning body with an auxiliary metal mold into which the protruded part of the clip is inserted to support said clip. CONSTITUTION:In preparing a resin molded product 2 in which the pedestal of a clip 4 is embedded by insert molding in order to insert the protruded part of the clip 4 attached to the resin molded product 2 into the hole 3 of a panel 1, to fix both of them, an auxiliary metal mold 18 inserting the protruded part (consisting of a pillar 7, a spring body provided to the leading end thereof and a positioning body 9) of the clip 4 is provided to the desired position of an insert metal mold 16 and the clip 4 is supported by contacting the same with the leading end part 20 of said auxiliary metal mold 18 and a resin is poured into a cavity 17 formed between the insert metal mold 16 and the other insert metal mold 15 to carry out insert molding. The leading end part 20 of the auxiliary metal mold 18 has such a shape that the pedestal 5 at the root part of the positioning body 9 is exposed from the resin 2 and is pref. sharpened to acute angle. |
