PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic capable of properly controlling the metabolic reaction in the scalp tissue and effectively preventing the dandruff, safe to the skin, and useful as a hair tonic, etc., using vitamin E acetic acid ester and methionine as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair cosmetic contains vitamin E acetic acid ester and methionine as active components. Vitamin E acetic acid ester is viscous and amorphous oily substance which is soluble in oil, fat and organic solvents, etc. and insoluble or hardly soluble in water or queous organic solvents. The amount of the ester is preferably 0.05-1.0wt%. Methionine is white powder having a solubility of about 3wt% in water at room temperature, but insoluble in organic solvents such as alcohol. The amount is preferably 1/100-1/3pt.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the vitamin E acetic acid ester. The cosmetic may contain proper amounts of conventional cosmetic components such as oily component, surface active agent, etc. in addition to the above active components. |
