PURPOSE:To reduce surface absorbance, by a method wherein a cloth or a pitch is used as a polisher and a suspension of a respectively specified substance in an ethanol-diluted liquid is used as a machining fluid, in polishing a laser transmitting surface made of potassium chloride. CONSTITUTION:When using a cloth as a polisher, a suspension of diamond particulates in an ethanol-diluted liquid of propylene glycol is used as a machining fluid, and when using a pitch as a polisher, a suspension of aluminum particulates in the ethanol-diluted liquid of propylene glycol is used as a machining fluid. |
