PURPOSE:To simultaneously control the idle revolution speed and the air-fuel ratio by recognizing an engine as a dynamic system and using a state-variable controlling method, estimating the dynamic behaviour of the engine according to the state-variable which prescribes the internal state. CONSTITUTION:A state observation equipment 15 calculates the estimated value- X of the amount of the state variable X which represents the internal state of an engine 13. An integration operation gain block controller 16 calculates two control inputs : the driving pulse width PA of a valve for controlling the amount of the by-pass air in idle operation and the fuel injection pulse width PF for driving a fuel injection valve from the integration value of the deviation SA between the designated objective value Nr of the engine revolution speed and the actual value N, the integration value of the deviation SB between the designated objective value (A/F) of the air-fuel ratio and the actual value A/F, and the amount X of the state-variable calculated in the state observation equipment 15. Further, when the external turbulence of the continual load is applied, the optimum gain which determines a control input value is switched. |
