PURPOSE:To improve the atomization characteristic, output, and fuel consumption and to purify discharged gas by providing an injection hole with a sharp edge shape. CONSTITUTION:The fuel fed to an introduction port 11 is guided to a valve chamber 14. When a solenoid coil 5 is energized and a moving core 15 is absorbed and lifted by a coil assembly 6, a ball valve body 16 is removed from a valve seat 22, thereby the fuel in the valve chamber 14 is injected to an engine from an injection hole 23 through an insertion hole 20. At this time, the injection hole 23 is formed in a sharp edge shape and the passage length of the injection hole is practically made to zero, thereby the fuel flow is not rectified in the injection hole 23, and the turbulence flow guided by a conical valve seat 22 becomes the initial turbulence as it is, thus a speed component in the direction at a right angle to the center axis direction of the injection hole 23 is generated and the spray angle is expanded. |
