PURPOSE:To control the idle revolution speed by recognizing an engine as a dynamic system and using a state-variable controlling method, estimating the dynamic behaviour of the engine from the state variable which prescribes the internal state. CONSTITUTION:A control input is constituted of an ignition timing 1T and the pulse width PA for driving the control solenoid of a VCM valve 2 for controlling a by-pass air amount in idle operation. A sate observation equipment 13 stores the dynamic model of an engine 12, and estimates the dynamic internal state of an engine from three control input and output information PA, 1T, and idle revolution speed N, and calculates the estimated value-X of the amount of the state variable which represents the internal state. When the dynamics of an internal combustion engine varies, switching to the dynamic model conforming to the varied stae and the control gain is performed, and the state of the internal combustion engine is estimated, and the control input value is determined. |
