PURPOSE:To produce an unequal steel angle with good working efficinecy by forming and rolling roughly a blank material to be rolled to approximately a Z shape then finishing the same to the steel shape having flanges projecting respectively in opposite directions from both side of the web, and cutting the same at the center of the web and straightening the cut steels with one straightening machine. CONSTITUTION:A blank material 12 to be rolled is roughly formed and rolled to ingots 13, 14 of approximately Z-shaped section having flanges project at a right angle in respectively opposite directions from both ends of the web by passing through a breakdown mill 10 and a universal roughing mill 11. The ingot is then finished to a steel shape 16 of the sectional shape wherein the web and the flanges are at a right angle to each other by an universal finishing mill 15. The steel shape 16 is cut online in the longitudinal direction at the center of the web to make two unequal steel angles 17, 18. The steel angle 17 is slightly inclined to a straightening attitude and is straightened. The steel angle 18 is rotated around the material axis and is straightened with the same straightening machine as for the steel angle 17. |
