The invention relates to apparatus of the heat engine type operating on low-pollution energy. It comprises, in a closed cycle, a motorised pressure-relief device 2, associated with a pump 4, making it possible to use the difference in pressure existing between an evaporator 1 subjected to a temperature T1 and a condenser 3 subjected to a temperature T2 less than T1. A bypass 5 equipped with a valve 6 allows the speed of the apparatus to be adjusted. Amongst the applications of the apparatus is featured the supply of energy which can be used free of charge based on low-pollution energy (effluents, discharges, etc.) which are ordinarily unuseable without supplying external energy. <IMAGE>
