PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a brushless motor adapted for a digital audio disk or the like by associating a rotor having a cylindrical field magnet and a magnetic yoke of semicircular shape of section having an armature coil. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical field magnet 16 alternately having N- and S-poles is rotatably supported as a rotor at bearings 12, 13 which is provided at the upper and lower surfaces of a motor 10. A magnetic yoke 17 of semicircular section is opposed to the magnet 16. Armature coils 18-1-18-3 wound on a frame and position detectors 19-1-19-3 are respectively provided at the magnetic yoke 17. When thus formed, a brushless motor which is adapted for a digital audio disk or the like can be reduced. |
