PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of an Al plasma sprayed steel material and to facilitate the removal of a contaminant and the repairing of said steel material, by a method wherein high molecular epoxy resin is applied to the surface of the Al plasma sprayed steel material to seal the pores thereof and a coloring finish paint is subsequently applied thereon by using acrylic resin. CONSTITUTION:A pore sealing treatment liquid comprising an org. solvent such as toluene containing 5-40wt% high molecular epoxy resin is applied to the surface of an A1 plasma sprayed steel material to strengthen the Al plasma sprayed film thereon and to expel air in said film. Subsequently, a coloring finish paint containing 3-50% pigment component based on titanium oxide and an aluminum powder is applied by using acrylic resin. By coating this coloring finish paint, a contaminant is prevented from entering recessed parts of the Al plasma sprayed film. |
